Eva is very passionate in contributing her voice to politics and is an active political activist. She is focused on the injustices brought upon Latinos in America. She takes this issue close to heart because she was raised in a Hispanic middle class family that "put education as their first priority"(ABC) she believes that every American citizen should have the right for an education, due to it begin a fundamental right. She's a big Obama supporter and is credited in bringing Hispanic support to Obama when he was a presidential candidate both in 2008 and 2012. (huffingtonpost) Due to the Democrat's proposed solution to illegal immigration, Hispanics were very favourable towards The Democratic party, with a ratio of 7 to 1 voters for President Obama over his counterpart, Mitt Romney. (huffingtonpost) She has told congress directly in interviews to take on the issue of illegal immigration, and to not use it as a scapegoat for health care. She's also a nation co-chair at President Obama's reelection campaign, and she has gone across the country to inform people especially Latinos of America's broken immigration system and how they should all be pushing for change. Due to her being an active member of President Obama's campaign, she has spoken at the Democratic National Convention and you can find that below.
